After.

Privacy

Your documents stay private.

After uses them only to create your report. This page says what that means, step by step, with no gaps.

What you give After

The insurance documents you add — your declarations page, your policy, and any endorsements — and the details you type about what happened, such as the kind of incident, the date, and your short answers to the questions After asks.

Photos you take or add stay in this browser on this device. They are not sent anywhere unless you create a share link or save your plan.

How your documents are read

Your PDF files are opened and turned into text inside your browser. The file itself is not uploaded to After.

The text of those pages is then sent once to After’s analysis, which runs on After’s servers and uses an AI service (Google Gemini) to locate the wording in your own documents that relates to what happened. The analysis returns quotes and page numbers. Nothing After shows you is written by the AI on its own: every excerpt is checked word for word against your document text, and anything that does not match is dropped.

After does not send your documents or your details to your insurance company, and does not sell or share this information with advertisers.

How long anything is kept

Your report, your documents’ text, your photos and your checklist live in this browser’s storage on this device. They stay until you clear them or clear your browser data.

Page text sent for analysis is used to produce your report and is not stored in After’s database afterwards. The AI service processes it to return the result and does not use it to train models.

If you save your plan with your email, a copy of your plan — including your findings, your checklist, your approvals and your expense entries — is stored in After’s database under your email so you can open it on another device. It is kept until you ask for it to be deleted.

If you create a share link, the photos you chose are copied to After’s storage so the person you sent it to can see them. A share link expires after 14 days, and you can revoke it sooner.

If you pay for a report, After records the payment (the incident it belongs to, the amount, and your email) so your report opens again later. Card details never reach After; Stripe handles the payment.

Deleting your information

On this device, clearing your browser storage for this site removes everything held locally.

For anything saved to your email, write to privacy@afterapp.app from that address and ask for deletion. That message creates a deletion request, and your saved plan, your shared photos and your share links are removed.

Selling personal information

After does not sell your personal information. There is no exception to this.
